Mona Lisa Project

Mona Lisa In a Bunker

Mona Lisa In a Bunker

This project came about...

I was given a reproduction of the Mona Lisa by my mother a few years ago. It hung in my house and was shuffled around without really earning its place in my life. After rebranding myself High Art Photography, a somewhat pretentious moniker, and being confronted by the new way of doing things, I decided I needed my version of social media marketing that reflected some of the elements of who I was and what my broad brand name entitled me to do.

I rediscovered Mona and challenged myself to put her and all her stereotypical pretentions about High Art to good use.

As you can see, she's accompanied me on various adventures around the North Island. She sits casually outside Aucklands biggest Art Gallery, as if asking for admittance. She also admires some of our loveliest landscapes and even goes on night adventures.

If you have any suggestions as to where you would like to see her next, don't hesitate to get in touch. She loves to experience new things.
